Susan Elizabeth Corey passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026. Born June 26, 1954 in Putnam, CT, Sue attended Killingly High School. Sue spent many early years of her career working at A/O American Optical in Southbridge Massachusetts. She then took a position at Shoppers Guide/Turnpike Buyer as an Administrative Assistant which she worked for decades until her retirement in December 2018. Sue resided in Brooklyn, CT with her husband Robert until her retirement. Upon her retirement Sue moved with her husband Robert to a family home in Florida. Sue lived her remaining years in Hernando FL.
Sue and Robert were married in 1981 and had a wonderful marriage until Robert’s death in 2019. They spent many years in Brooklyn CT prior to retirement providing in home health care for Sue’s mother Ruth for many years and end of life care for Robert’s mother Ruby, both living into their mid-90s due to the compassionate and loving care by Susan and Robert.
Sue is predeceased by her husband Robert Corey, son Justin Corey, her parents (mother Ruth Gallup and father Darwin Gallup) and sister Joan.
Sue leaves behind a daughter Laurie (Corey) LePine and husband Chris from Brooklyn, CT and additional family members Kristen (Robillard) Joly and husband Rob as well as their two children Emerson and Mason from Killingly CT. In addition, she leaves behind a brother Charlie Gallup of FL, nephew Andrew Gallup of CT and sister Ann Gallup of KY. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory is assisting the family
