Carojen Marie Lindsey (Scenna), age 79, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milford, Connecticut, Carojen later made her home in Beverly Hills, Florida, where she touched countless lives with her kindness, faith, and warm spirit.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul E. Lindsey, and her daughter, Rebecca Nurse.
Carojen is survived by her loving children: Edward Nurse and wife Erica of Spring Hill, Florida; Stephanie Nurse of Dothan, Alabama; Laurie Brown of Dothan, Alabama; and Matthew Nurse and wife Cori of Dothan, Alabama. She also leaves behind 8 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.
Carojen was a woman who deeply loved the Lord and devoted her life to loving her family, friends, neighbors, and everyone she met. To Carojen, nobody was ever a stranger. She freely shared her faith, encouragement, and compassion with both loved ones and complete strangers alike. Her home was always welcoming, and she was especially known for making the very best apple pies.
She lived her life fully, faithfully, and joyfully, leaving behind precious memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 19th, 2026, 11:00 AM, at The Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa, Pastor Kevin Ballard presiding.
The family is being assisted by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home.
