Ronnie James Massey, age 79, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on October 25, 1946, Ronnie lived a full life surrounded by family, love, and lasting connections.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clemon Lee Massey and Mary Marshall; his wife, Peggy Gentile Massey; and brothers, Sammy and Mike.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Helen Hughes, and his children: Rhonda Culligan (Jack), Randy Massey (Kristy), Kelsey Elmore and Jon Pedrick (Jordan). Ronnie also leaves behind a cherished legacy in his grandchildren—Ronnie Massey (Kara), Whitney Massey, Terry, Tyler and Tanner Shaffer, Megan, John and Kevin Culligan, Chase, Pierce, and Crew Pedrick—as well as three great-grandchildren (Davis, Barrett, and Trace Massey.)
He is survived by his siblings: Judy Blackwell, Larry Massey (Martha), Rick Massey (Terry), Clemon Lee Massey Jr., and Julye Massey Martin (Danny.) He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Ronnie will be remembered for his love of the Lord, fishing, and horse racing along with his devotion to family and the many relationships he built throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Larry and Martha Massey for all the love and support provided to him and Helen in his last months of life.
