Martha Mary McGlashen, of Inverness, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Crystal River at Cedar Creek Assisted Living, just two days after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Martha was born on February 17, 1936, in Freeport, Illinois, to Hans and Lydia (Weber) Eichenberger. She later moved to Michigan, where she met her future husband, Max McGlashen. The two were married in 1955 when Martha was 19 years old and began building a life together centered on faith, family, and hard work.
In 1972, Martha and Max relocated to Citrus County, Florida, where they raised their 2 daughters.
Once the kids were grown, Martha and Max moved to Crossville, Tennessee where they enjoyed many happy years. In 2009, they returned to Citrus County and established their home in the Royal Oaks community/Inverness.
Martha was strong in her faith and devoted to her church family, of the First Assembly of God in Inverness. She worked as an office administrator for Citrus Dental for many years, a position she undertook with unwavering dedication.
Following Max’s passing in 2019, Martha stayed, independently, in her own home with assistance from her family, neighbors and friends. Most recently, due to declining health issues she lived with her daughter and subsequently moved to Cedar Creek Assisted Living. Though her stay was relatively short, she continued to share her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit with those around her.
Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Max McGlashen; and her brothers, Glen, Ralph, and Kurt Eichenberger.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth A. McGlashen and her wife, Stacy, of Inverness, Florida, and Kathryn J. Fallier and her husband, Robert, of Acworth, Georgia; three grandsons, Andrew Fallier and his wife, Nicole, Mark Fallier, and James Fallier; two great-grandsons, Maxwell Fallier and Ethan Fallier; as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Martha will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Max, at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
