Alma J. Hays, 75, of Floral City, FL passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Life Care Citrus, Lecanto, FL. She was born in and a lifelong resident of Inverness / Floral City, FL. on February 11, 1950 to the late Robert E. and Alma J. (Giddens) Kinsey. Alma was a dedicated homemaker and attended the United Methodist Church in Floral City, FL. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the wildlife from her back porch, and spending time with family and friends. Alma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Jerry Hays in 2024, and one grandchild Jordan Hays. She is survived by her son Jerry (Connie) Hays of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; daughter Julie Rogers of Ocala, FL; brother David Kinsey; sister Christine Lyons; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Alma will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 1:00pm at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, with Randy Robinson of Everyday Church speaking. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
