Robert W. Peacock, age 82, of Hernando, FL, died under the care of Vitas Hospice at The Reserve of Citrus on November 16, 2025. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Dorothea Hanson Peacock.
Robert moved to Springfield, MA where he graduated from American International College and later joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He spent his working career in purchasing and retired from Milton Bradley as a Certified Purchasing Manager.
He and his wife, Judy moved to Citrus County where he volunteered for many years at the Key Training Center working with clients. Robert also had a great love for animals and was involved in getting a new shelter built.
He leaves his wife of 40 years and many wonderful friends; especially Myron and Elaine Wambold. They spent every day for many months helping with his care. The family would also like to thank the Vitas Hospice care team for their compassionate care in Robert’s final days.
A Celebration of Life honoring Robert will be held Tuesday, November 25th, 11:00 AM at First Christian Church of Inverness with Pastor Tom Thomas and Pastor Mickie O’Donnell co-officiating.
