Dorothy Myra Vick

Dorothy Myra Vick of Inverness, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of eighty-two. Myra was under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto. Myra was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Leonard and Helen Marguerite (Moody) Archer. She met Larry Vick in 1960, and they, along with their three sons, moved from Thomasville, GA to Citrus County in 1977. Larry and Myra celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to his passing in February 2022. Myra loved to bake, and her desserts were the favorite of any occasion. In fact, her desserts were award winning, taking the top prize eight times at the Citrus County Fair. Myra (Mom, Mema) was known by anyone who met her to be a very sincere, kind, and compassionate woman of faith and took every opportunity to assure people that “Jesus loves you!”.  Myra cared deeply for her family and was a pillar of strength and courage. She was a proud and active member of Trinity Baptist Church, Inverness FL, and cherished her relationship with the widows group. Myra was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry in 2022, her brother Fred Archer, and granddaughter Lillian Vick. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dennis (Nicole) Vick, Donald Vick, and Alan (Angela) Vick, all of Inverness; her five grandchildren, Trista, Megan, Bryan, Alyssa, and Spencer; five great grandchildren; and her niece and nephew, Debbie and Leonard. The family will arrange services from Trinity Baptist Church. Cremation under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation, Inverness.
