Diane Marie Galyean, 80, of Floral City, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, cradled in the love of her family.

Born on November 28, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Anne Stryker, Diane was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering love, and fierce devotion to those she cared for. Her life was a tapestry of service, kindness, and compassion — from her years as a pharmacy technician, to opening her heart and home as a foster mother, to volunteering with the police department for 15 years. She gave without question, loved without limits, and lived with grace.

Diane shared 62 beautiful years with the love of her life, her husband Roger Galyean. Together they built a family bound not just by blood, but by the deep bonds of laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.

She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Terry Lanham; seven adored grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren who lit up her life; and her beloved sisters, Linda and Gail. She is also remembered fondly by many other family members and friends who were lucky enough to feel the warmth of her embrace.

Diane now joins those she has dearly missed: her parents, Joseph and Anne; her brother, Joseph; her sister, Delores; her beloved son, Bruce Galyean; and her precious great-granddaughter, Raelynn — all waiting with open arms.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where stories will be shared, tears will fall, and her legacy of love will be honored.

Though her physical presence has left this world, Diane’s spirit remains — in the kindness she taught us, the strength she showed us, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in every heart she touched. The world is dimmer without her light, but heaven shines brighter with her in it.
