Robert “Bob” Umberto Scarinci, 88, of Floral City, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at TGA Hospital in Brooksville, Florida.
Born in Manhattan, New York City, on January 5, 1937, to Umberto and Ida (Dvioli) Scarinci, Bob lived a life defined by quiet strength, hard work, and deep devotion to family. A proud U.S. Army veteran and skilled carpenter by trade, Bob was also a man of faith who lived with humility and heart.
Bob and his wife Lee moved to Florida 21 years ago from New Paltz, New York, and became part of the Tarawood community in Floral City. He will be remembered fondly by neighbors and friends for his kind demeanor and steady presence.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lee Scarinci of Floral City; his sons, Craig Engel of Apollo Beach, FL, and Scott Engel of Sturgis, SD; his sister, Janet Garafola of Boynton Beach, FL; and his three grandchildren: A.J. Engel, Ryan Engel, and Sean Engel. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL
