James Donald Bobbert, affectionately known as Jim, of Floral City, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was Eighty-two. Jim was born in Fisher, PA to Donald Bobbert and Mildred Kahle Bobbert. Upon high school graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and proudly served his country for four years. Jim met and married the love of his life, Marcy Knapp, in 1963. He worked many years as a telecommunications technician, and up to recently still was active in computer programming and operating his hand radio. Jim and Marcy became snow birds, finding a home here in 1998, and would spend winters here and summers in Spartansburg, PA. He attended church with Marcy at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. Jim also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially adored his family, and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife Marcy Bobbert, and his daughter Michelle Bobbert. Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his son James D. Bobbert, Jr. of Spring Hill; his sister Bonnie Partley of Parker, PA; his brothers Dick Bobbert and Perry Bobbert, both of Parker, PA; his grandchildren Kyle, Sean, Matthew, Jacob, Zachary, Emily, and Megan; and his great grandchildren Onyx and Sophie. A prayer service and celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11:00am at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, followed by the rendering of full military honors.
