Judiann Butler was called home to her Heavenly Father on June 8, 2025 after facing a recent illness. She was a lively, vibrant spirit to all who knew her; active in everything she encountered and always brimming with creativity.
Born on April 16, 1944 in Tampa, Florida, Judiann was the daughter and middle child of Curtis Smith and Gertrude (Jenkins) Smith. She attended school in various Florida communities and was a proud member of the Brandon High School cheer squad.
A lifelong Christian, Judiann was deeply committed to her faith and actively involved in every church she was part of. Her belief in Jesus shaped her life and the way she loved others. Judiann felt that it is not the birth date or the date of passing, but the dash in between. She lived that dash to the fullest.
Judiann is survived by her beloved husband, Francis Butler of Beverly Hills, FL; older brother, Elzy Smith of West Virginia; and her younger brother, Buster Smith of Alabama. She also leaves behind her three sons; David Bodo of Brandon FL; Kevin Bodo of Brandon, FL; and Sean Bodo of Leesburg, FL; and 8 beloved grandchildren.
In honor of Judiann’s joyful spirit and unwavering faith, donations for her Celebration of Life may be presented to: https://gofund.me/d354de77 . If a card is not an option, please contact David Bodo on Facebook Messenger.
A Celebration Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills, 4950 N Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465 on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at 11:00am.
