Born April 28, 1935, to Chesteen and Maude Gertude (Harrison) Powell in Lake Worth, Florida. 

Audrey resided in West Palm Beach, Florida, graduating from Palm Beach High School.  

Audrey married Fay Earl Handy in 1953 and raised four daughters in Lake Worth, Florida.

In 1973, she attended Palm Beach Community College earning an Associate in Arts and worked with the Palm Beach County Home Economics Program. And in 1992, obtained her Associates in Science from Palm Beach Junior College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

In 1982, Audrey and Fay moved to Floral City, Florida, where she continued her career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, traveling and activities on the river property with her family. After becoming a widow Audrey moved to Inverness, Florida to be closer to family.

She was a member of Calvary Chapel, Inverness Florida and enjoyed her time with the ladies’ groups worshipping and praising her Saviour. On May 28, 2025, went home to be with her Saviour and preceding family members. 

She was loved and cared for by her family : Daughters: Glenda R. Wall (Roger), Nora G. Handy, Beatrice H. Brodeur (George) and Karla L. Bruce (Davis). Grandchildren: Carrie R. Craig (Andrew), Nicole “Nikki” Wall (Antonio), Krystal Sizemore (Ralph), Kurt Wickline, Jeffrey Allen, Calvin Byerly and K. Amber Bruce.  Great Grandchildren: Raelyn Craig, Wyatt Craig, Sage Wickline, Marshall Wickline, Rowan Wickline, Hannah “Luke” Allen, Tobias “Toby” Allen, Andrew “Drew” Allen (Briana), Payton Clark and Landen Brittian. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and Great-Great Granddaughters: Charlotte Allen and Magnolia Allen. 

Graveside services for Audrey will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Hills of Rest, Cemetery, Foral City, Florida.

In lieu of Flowers the family is requesting a remembrance be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org) or to Calvary Chapel Inverness 960 US-41, Inverness, FL 34450.

Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness, FL.

    Glenda, Nora, Hope, Karla and the rest of the family: I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I always thought highly of your Mom. I know she will be dearly missed. I know that I’ll always think of her when remembering days gone by in our family. May she rest in peace hand in hand with Uncle Fay.
