Jo Ann Walker

Jo Ann Walker, 76, of Inverness, FL passed away July 19, 2023 at HCA Citrus Florida Hospital in Inverness. She was born in Cumberland, MD on December 8, 1946 to the late Cameron L. and Pauline (Schoenadel) Otto. Jo Ann was an elementary school teacher at Holly Hall Elementary School in Elkton, MD. She arrived in this area in January 2000. She enjoyed family, traveling, cruising, geocaching, and scuba diving.  She previously volunteered at the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard A. Walker. Other survivors include her daughter Paula Ann (Stuart) Anderson of Dayton, OH; and her sister Irene Otto (Jim) Case of Ocala, FL.  Friends may visit with the family on August 5 from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tim Maness of Victory Baptist Church of Eustis, FL officiating. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Jo Ann.
