Nancy J. Wessel, age 82, Inverness, Fl passed away December 23, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Ms. Wessel was born in Easton, PA on July 2, 1940 to the late Frank Smith and Arlene Mumbower Smith, she came here in 1990 from Mt. Clemens, MI.
She was a retired home health nurse and was employed by the Marion Community Health Service. Later, she worked with the Senior’s Home Companion Agency.
She was a 32 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Inverness and the United Women of Faith Sunshine Circle. She sang in the choir and was a faithful member of the church’s intercessory prayer group, the pastor’s bible study group, and the disciples Sunday school class. In earlier years, she served on the Habitat For Humanity Board.
Ms. Wessel had no children and had out lived other family members.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00AM, with The Rev. Mike Kramer pastor of the Inverness First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City.
