Margaret Lee Densmore, better known as Peggy, or “G” to her grandchildren, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 under Vitas Hospice care in Lecanto. She was eighty-nine. Peggy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Kenneth and Alice (Kunnen) Harker. Her parents moved to Clearwater when she was a child. She met her high school sweetheart, who would later become her husband, while attending Clearwater High School. They married right after her graduation. Peggy and Tom then left together, to begin his time in the United States Air Force. Tom served during the Korean conflict, and upon his honorable discharge, they came back to Florida, and he was accepted at Florida State University. Peggy and Tom then moved back home to Clearwater after he graduated in 1960, where she not only became a mother to three boys, but also worked full time in banking. Their family of five moved up to Inverness in 1979. Peggy was an avid supporter of all sports relating to Florida State University, and she could talk sports statistics with anyone. After Tom passed in 2003, she thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the “Engelbert girls group” which was a group of ladies who followed Engelbert Humperdink’s shows and concerts. She also enjoyed going on cruises these last several years. Peggy was very much a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will always be remembered fondly. She was preceded in death not only by her father, mother, and husband, but also by her step-father Jack Wallis. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Tom Densmore (Sheila) of Inverness, Doug Densmore (Sandra) of Ponce Inlet, and Rick Densmore of Inverness; her brother Kenneth G. Harker (Selma) of Ocoee, FL; daughter-in-law Catherine Densmore of Inverness; sister-in-law Sue Johnson (Bill) of Clearwater; grandchildren Chris, Joel, Mallory, Carson, Bryse, and Emily; and great grandchildren William, Camille, Jackson, Jett, Baker, Hudson, and one on the way! Services for Peggy will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the First Christian Church which is located at 2018 Colonade Street in Inverness. The Rev. Tom Thomas will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and a reception will follow at 11:00am in the Family Life Center. A funeral procession from the church to Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell will begin promptly at 12 noon. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.

G was a sweet and caring soul whom loved all things Florida State which was only superseded by her love of her family! She will be missed by John & I. Sending our condolences & love to Densmore Family.
Peggy was a Perfect friend. I met her trying to find an Englebert Humperdinck fan club. We shared some very good times with going to the concerts. Peggy was so kind and always a smile. I will miss her. Condolences to the family and prayers for all of them. Gerry Z,
I met Peggy when she started working at Citizens Bank shortly after they moved to Inverness. She was kind and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. She will be missed by many.
