Alan David Waller

Alan David Waller, age 74 of Istachatta passed away on May 10, 2025 in Gordon, AL as a result of an automotive accident.  Alan was born in Ft Myers, FL to the late Albert and Lois (Cuneo) Waller, on November 19, 1950.  He was a retired sub-station supervisor for Florida Power (Progress Energy).

Left to cherish his memory are three sons: David Waller and his wife Sabrina of Istachatta, Adam Waller of Istachatta, and Jesse Waller of Land O’Lakes, FL; one daughter, Kimberly Waller Gritten and her husband, Will of Illinois; two brothers: Victor Michael Waller of Istacahatta and Richard Waller of Floral City; twelve grandchildren: A.J. Waller, Jacob “Peanut” Waller, Mariah Stone, Makayla Stone, Austin Stone, Madison Stone, Aubree Waller, Jasper Gritten, Briley Gritten, Dominyq Gritten, Nikolas Gritten, Kheagyn Gritten; and two great grandchildren: Oakley Gritten and Jayden Gritten.

His wife of 52 years, Marian Diane Waller and daughter, Carrie Stone died in the same accident. He was preceded in death by three brothers, “Boogie”, Jerry, and Jack Waller and two sisters, Janice and Nancy Waller.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ with Mr. Charles Murray officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery, Istachatta, FL. Arrangements are in the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
