Myrna Mae Hocking, age 87 of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Inverness, passed away on August 2, 2026 at the Gardens of Westbrooke Assisted Living Center under the care of Vitas Hospice. Myrna was born in Little Rock, Iowa on June 9, 1939 to the late Abner and Esther (Kruse) Hocking and moved to Citrus County from Sioux Falls, SD.
She is survived by 3 children: Todd (Cindy) Hocking of Chesapeake, VA; Kim (Dallis) Klosterboer of Tampa; Sally (William) Morrison of Stafford, VA; 1 sister, Kathryn Sackett of Worthington, MN; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester G. Hocking on December 27, 2001. They were married 42 years. She also lost 2 brothers: Delmar and Arnold Thiesse and a half-brother, Ervin Asche; and her sister, Shirley King.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, December 11th, 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery Columbarium. Cremation arrangements under the direction. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
