Kenneth Walter Flanagan, 69 years old, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18th.
He was surrounded by his beloved family, his church ministers and very special friends.
He passed away after a very long battle with cancer which he fought like a true warrior.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Citrus County most of his adult life.
In his journey of 69 years, he touched many lives and had an extraordinary love for people, unwavering spirit, special friendships, kindness and immense pride in the life he lived.
He worked at First Christian Church of Inverness for the past 27 years as a very devoted and proud employee with a great love for his church family and friends.
His legacy will be his remarkable life that will forever be an inspiration and a testament of a well lived life. He will forever be missed and forever remembered.
One of the great loves of his life was owning and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He always had a huge smile and happy face after riding his beloved bikes any distance at all but sometimes up to 100 miles in a single day. His hobbies were buying and selling older used cars and motorcycles and the thrill of finding them and selling them for a profit.
He also loved going to the Atlantic Ocean to the beach. He looked so forward to the couple of times a year we were able to go and always had a splendid time.
He is survived by his adored brothers, Curtis Flanagan and Paul Flanagan and his Life Partner, Debbie Fulps and a host of friends and acquaintances.
A service of remembrance celebrating Kenny’s remarkable life will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church of Inverness, FL. The address is 2018 Colonade Street, Inverness, FL 34453. Phone 352-344-1908.
