James E. DeCarlo, more affectionately known as Jim, of Floral City,
passed away Friday, February 20.2026 at Citrus Health and Rehab in
lnverness. He was 87 years of age. Jim was born on July 28, 1938 in
Waterbury, CT to William and Philomena (Ruby) DeCarlo. Jim worked in
auto parts manufacturing for fifty years, starting with Armstrong
Rubber; which became one of the leading tire manufacturers in the
world. This is also how he met the love of his life, Zelinda Allesandrini.
They married in 1964 and have two daughters, Phyllis and Tricia. Jim
also has two brothers, William and AIan, seven grandchildren, several
great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
