Debra Ann Irving

Debra Ann Irving, 65, of Inverness, FL passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Inverness. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 14, 1961. Debra was a District Education Secretary, and arrived in this area in 2006, coming from Kissimmee, FL. She attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. Debra enjoyed sports fishing, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father George G. Mayes, and one brother, George G. Mayes, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robert Irving. Other survivors include her daughter Sunshine (Andrew) Elser of Inverness; her mother, Joan Clemens; brothers Lawrence Mayes and Gordon D. Mayes (LTC Ret.); and sister Diana Bendris. A Mass of Christian Burial for Debra will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, at 1:00pm from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, FL. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the mass. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness is in charge of arrangements.
