Where Planning Is A Gift That Lives On
Mary Minnie Petrucci

Mary Minnie Petrucci

Mary Minnie Petrucci, of Inverness, passed away peacefully in her own bed under Hospice care, just two days after turning 83 years of age. Mary was born to the late Ervin and Dorothy (Clayton) Estelle in Lakewood, New Jersey. She met Frank Petrucci and became his wife when she was 17 years of age.

Frank spent his career in the United States Navy, so she lived the life of Navy wife: moving from place to place every time he was called to transfer. She not only raised five kids, but she also attained her CNA certification, and worked as such for 30 years.

When Frank retired from the Navy, they decided to spend their winters in Florida, starting in Pinellas Park. They moved back up to Michigan, where Frank was from, but then soon realized Florida was their home. They moved to Citrus County in 1984, and never left.

Mary loved playing Bingo and Rummy, and she absolutely was mad about Elvis! She not only adored her family, but also her Chihuahuas, Radar (who has passed away) and Lola. Mary was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death in 2021 by both her loving husband Frank and her son Michael, as well as her siblings Ervin (infant), Dorothy “Dot” and Barbara “Bobbie.” Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Mary Ellis (Bill) and Kathy Lambert (Adam) of Inverness, and Chris Beaverson (Randall) of Sarasota; her son Rick Petrucci of Inverness; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Mary will be laid to rest with Frank in Florida National Cemetery.
