Faye Eloise Queck

Faye Eloise Queck, age 100, died at her residence in Hernando, FL on January 6th, 2026 under the care of her loving family and Vitas Hospice. Born in Williamsburg, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hazel (Wilson) Stine.

Formerly of Long Island, NY, Faye and her late husband, Raymond arrived in this area in 1972. Ray died in 1990. They had been married for 45 years. Catholic by faith, Faye attended Our Lady of Fatima when she lived in Inverness, then became a parishioner at St. Scholastica Catholic Church when she moved to Hernando. She and Ray loved dancing to the Big Bands and enjoying the music of the “Sons of the Pioneers.” She will be remembered for her baking specialties, sewing and crocheting and of course, her plants. After many years as a “Stay at home Mom”, Faye enjoyed a career at both the Hernando and Inverness post offices.

Faye is survived by her sons and daughters; Stephen (Connie) Queck of The Villages, Nancy Lee Pitney of St. Petersburg, Robert Queck of Inverness, Victoria Balcerzak of Ft. McCoy, and Michele (Jimmie) Rose of Hernando; sister, Betty Cameron of Boise, ID; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and late husband, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Jack Stine; and her daughter-in-law Susan.

Funeral services for Faye will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, 2:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Faye will be laid to rest with Raymond in Florida National Cemetery at a later date. Her family requests to please consider donating in her memory to the Key Elder Care in Lecanto in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.

    Faye was a beautiful loving woman, she touched everyone heart she came in contact with ! I was honored to know her ! Always had a smile on her face! Love reading her obituary so many things we did not know about her ! She accomplished so much in her many years ! Rest peacefully Faye withe your family that left this life before you . Everyone here will miss you , but we all know you had the most wonderful life and now in heaven with loved ones !

    I wish I got to know here while living in Fl. She will be missed by all her friends and family. RIP Faye and we will always think about you looking up to the sky.

    That little lady was four foot ten but she had a six foot heart. I worked with her for 25 years and always had a smile. When Ray passed was the only time she seemed down. She was a worker and never complained! Faye will be missed.
