Edwin Sears Graham, age 95, of Oxford, FL (The Villages) passed away January 2, 2026 under the loving care of his family and Cornerstone Hospice.
Ed was born in Bay Shore, NY on May 21, 1930 to the late Wilson and Grace (Oliver) Graham. He moved to Florida following his retirement from the Nassau County (Long Island) Police Department. He moved to Citrus County in 1973. He served our country as a Korean War Vet in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Carpenter. He was honored by being selected for the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. with other Korean War Veterans.
After moving to Inverness, he became very involved in the community. Ed was an active member of Nassau Blue, and attended every meeting up until the last two. He was also a member of the Citrus County Surveillance Unit, the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department, and V.F.W. Post 4337. He was employed as the Supervisor of Transportation for the Citrus County School Board.
He leaves to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Helene Graham; 3 daughters: Bonnie (Don) Phillips, Cincinnati, OH; Maralee Beyer, Louisville, KY; Patti (Mark) Fey, Fisherville, KY; 2 stepsons: Michael (Sheryl) Rosino, Knoxville, TN; Roy Vogel of Georgia. 10 grandchildren: Michelle, Jason, Amy, Robby, Alyson, Holly, Julie, Hillary, Ansley, and Carson; 9 great grandchildren: Justin, Mara, Marissa, Mitchell, Alyssa, Paityn, Madisyn, Bryan and Tyler; 4 great-great grandchildren: Graham, Elliott, Everett and Florence. Additionally, he leaves one niece: Susan Carpenter, two great nephews: Andrew Yermenson, Thomas Carpenter and one great-great nephew, Thomas Carpenter II. Two cousins by marriage: Mary and Wayne Boyer. He was predeceased in death by his daughter: Lindy Skees Albertson; 2 sisters: Ida Graham and Carol Carpenter; and nephew: James Carpenter.
There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Tom Beaverson of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the service begins.
