Carolyn Fowler, 82, of Inverness, Florida, originally from of Cullman, Alabama, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on December 2, 2025.
Born in Cullman, Carolyn lived a life full of color, adventure, and joy. With her husband, William “Bill” Fowler, she followed the path of his Air Force career, which took their family from Biloxi, Mississippi, to Satellite Beach, and even to her beloved Turkey—where she made some of her fondest memories. Carolyn had a true love for traveling, and these years spent exploring new places were among the highlights of her life. After Bill’s retirement, they moved to Inverness in 1992, shortly after the birth of the first of their many grandchildren, beginning a cherished new chapter surrounded by family.
Carolyn was a devoted mother to Arthur “Rob” Barlow (Karen) and Elizabeth Ann LaBarge (Troy), and a loving stepmother to Aaron Fowler (Jamie) and Rachel Yunk (Steve). She cherished her family deeply and found her greatest joy in the large, blended family that grew around her.
She is also survived by her siblings: Terry Brock (Betty), Bob Brock (Linda), and Glenda Wells (Eddie). She was preceded in death by her brother Roger Brock.
She was blessed with many grandchildren: Shannon Rossi (Chris), Casandra Weldon (Josh), Isaac McDaniel (Taylor), Aaron McDaniel, Brianna McDaniel, Rebekah McDaniel, Kirstin Owens (Alex), Emily LaBarge, Kelsea LaBarge, Ashlee Scott (Cameron), Donovan Yunk, Stephanie Yunk, Austin Yunk, Eme Fowler, and Lexi Fowler, along with many great-grandchildren who brought endless light into her life.
Known for her vibrant spirit, Carolyn was truly the life of every party. This summer at the age of 81, she went down an 18-foot inflatable water slide bringing her entire family first fear, then laughter and joy! She enjoyed gambling, crafting, traveling, and never missed a chance to get out on the dance floor—especially when “Super Freak” started playing. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness effortless, and her presence unforgettable. Anyone who knew her loved her, and she made every room brighter simply by being in it.
Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of joy, warmth, and memories that will be treasured forever. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org<donate)
