Claus Brinnitzer, age 98, Inverrness, FL passed away on November 4, 2025 at the Discovery Village Assisted Living in Melbourne, FL.
Claus was born in Breslau, Germany on April 20, 1927 to the late Leo and Norma (Reichner) Brinnitzer and moved to Florida from Queens, NY (Jackson Heights) in 1990. He was a retired aircraft mechanic, having worked for United Airlines for 27 years. Claus was of the Catholic Faith and a communicate at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. After moving to Inverness, was very active in his community. He served as a Mediator for the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court, a Citrus Memorial Hospital volunteer with 25 years of service, a volunteer for Our Lady of Fatima’s Helping Hands Program, and participated in the local chapter of United Airlines Retirees organization.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Ann Brinnitzer of Melbourne, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Judith Brinnitzer on September 19, 2005; his daughter Kathleen Brinnitzer- Bernstein, and his sister, Eva Zapata.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 13th at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Suszynski, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family Thursday morning at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 9:45AM In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Fatima’s Helping Hands program is appreciated.
