Where Planning Is A Gift That Lives On
Penny Ann Prentice

Penny Ann Prentice

Penny Ann Prentice, age 58, of Inverness, FL passed away November 3, 2025 in the HCA Hospital in Ocala.

Penny was born in Hartford, CT on May 12, 1967 to the late Raymond and Janet (Pfeiffer) Prentice and came to Citrus County from Chiefland, FL.  She was employed at Winn Dixie Supermarket in the delicatessen department as a cake decorator.

Penny was a God-Fearing woman that always had a smile on her face and love in her heart for everyone. She lived her life to the fullest no matter what she was going though. She loved to laugh and give hugs. Penny never gave up no matter how she felt. When she could no longer work, she found so much more to do and that is what kept her happy.

She loved doing her crafts in her craft room from painting ceramics to making jewelry. As time went on her craft room became a craft room and movie room. Sitting out there she would do what crafts she could and watch movies. She loved her doggies. There always were at least 3 dogs in the house at any given time and at times there where 6 doggies in her home. She had a passion for senior dogs because so often people don’t want them.

Penny was that friend that everyone hopes to find once in a lifetime. Everyone who met her said she was an amazing, loving, caring woman that gave hope to others who struggled with their own lives.

She is survived by her beloved companion, Scott Brookshire.

There is a Celebration of Life scheduled for Monday, November 10th at 2:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.  Penny’s family and friends will be sharing their thoughts and memories.  Burial will follow in Lake Lindsey Cemetery. Friends can visit with the family at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
