Anna Noahlette Strait

Anna Noahlette Strait, of Inverness, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years of age.

Anna was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, to the late Noah and Lura (Sims) Spencer. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Druid Hills Hospital and dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. After moving with her family from Tampa to Inverness in 1975, Anna went on to serve as Director of Nursing at both Avante at Inverness and Diamond Ridge Health and Rehab in Lecanto. Her compassion, leadership, and commitment to her patients and staff left a lasting legacy in the healthcare community.

A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Hernando, Anna cherished her church family deeply. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived it out with kindness and grace. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping—especially at Hobby Lobby and Temu—and loved getting her nails done by her granddaughter. She shared many joyful hours of conversation and laughter with all the family.

Anna also had a deep love for nature and could often be found watching birds and squirrels outside her window. Family trips to Cherokee, North Carolina, where she and her loved ones would camp and raft the Nantahala River, remain treasured memories of her adventurous spirit and love for family time.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, William L. Strait (2017); her son, William L. Strait, Jr. (2020); and her sister, Elaine Scott.

She is survived by her daughter, DeAnna Holland of Inverness; her son and daughter-in-law, Noah and Cynthia Strait of Citrus Springs; her sisters, Delores Patton and Carlene Glinski; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and dear honorary family members, Kenny and Linda Harper.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at her home church, First Baptist Church of Hernando, on Nov, 15th @ 1pm for services and reception.

Arrangements are in the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
