Robert R. “Bob” Turner

Robert R. “Bob” Turner, age 87, formerly of Inverness and recently of Clearwater, died at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor on July 29th, 2025. Born in Grove City, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lloyd P. and Clara Workman Turner. Bob married the love of his life, Jeannine, in 1960.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had a successful career in engineering. Bob and Jeannie made Inverness their permanent residence upon retirement, relocating from Seminole in 1996. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Inverness.

Bob and Jeannine loved to travel. When they retired, they would load up the camper and the dog and go. He especially loved visiting the southwest part of the countryand so many times.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 65 years, Winona “Jeannine” (Keller) Turner; son, Robert “Bob” R. Turner, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter, Robin Radabaugh  Orlando, FL; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen King and brother, Lloyd O. Turner.

A memorial service for Bob will be held on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness with Pastor Byron Brown presiding. Bob’s final resting place will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to First Baptist Church of Inverness.
