Patricia Ann Clark, more affectionately known as Pattie, passed away at her home in Floral City on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the age of 86. Pattie was born in Caruthersville, MO to Henry H. and Thara V. Pinkston Holmes. She and her young family moved to Tampa in 1966, and again moved in 1989, making her permanent home in Citrus County. Pattie’s last job before retiring was as a mortgage processor for a mortgage company. However, retirement did not mean doing nothing for Pattie. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and gardening. She was known to be the “hostess with the mostest”, as she would leave fresh flowers in the guest bedroom for her guests, and she loved cooking for them as well. Pattie was also known to be fun-loving, and she loved having social time with wine (or as she called it, “wine o’clock”.) She was very much adored and will be missed by many. Pattie was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her twelve year old daughter Kavon Rakauskas, her sons Mark and Chris Rakauskas, and her sister Alice. She is survived by her daughter Adele Helm (Rick) of Floral City; her grandchildren Kyle Wolski of Arizona and Nicole Wolski of Colorado; her niece Joan Anderson of Sanford; her great niece Amanda (Art); her great niece and great nephew Madison and Brayton; and her dear friend and companion Michael Burns. A celebration of Pattie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:00am at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pattie loved this poem: God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And he knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes, He whispered to you “Peace be Thine” and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, You live on through your children, you’re always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
