Susan Marilyn Carscadden

Susan Marilyn Carscadden, known more affectionately as Sue, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 in HCA Citrus Hospital in Inverness. She was 71 years young. Sue was born in Southend Essex, England to Wilfred McFahn and Margaret Buckman Steward McFahn.

Sue met the love of her life, Tom, and they married in 1974. Together they taught dance classes, and enjoyed every minute of it. They brought their dancing lessons over to the United States, when they moved to Citrus County 24 years ago, and taught dancing at the YMCA in Lecanto. Sue was fun-loving, full of creative ideas, and absolutely loved drawing. She became the administrator for the senior programs of Citrus County, and was instrumental in the development of “Senior’ s on the Move” in this county. She loved reading, doing certain crafts, traveling, entertaining friends, trivia night, watching her favorite soccer team, West Ham play.  She also volunteered weekly at the Circle of Friends gift Shop and several years she helped girls get prom dresses with Cinderella’s Closet.  She especially loved living in Citrus County with its nature and her favorite shops and restaurants. Susan will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Sue was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her adoring husband of 51 years Tom Carscadden of Lecanto; her fur baby “Gracie”; her sister Janet Wright; and her niece and nephew Nicola Boynton and Christopher Wright. A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held privately at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
