Doris E. Reier, age 94 of Middleburg, FL passed away January 4, 2025 at her residence under the care of her loving family and Haven Hospice. She was born in Easton, PA on November 15, 1930 to the late Richard and Orissa (Hunt) Rundle. She was a Sales Associate in the clothing industry prior to retirement.
Left to cherish her memory are 4 children: Monica West and husband Donald West of Middleburg, FL; George Bellis Sr and his wife Joycelyn Beth Bellis of Erath, LA; Kathy Westfall of Norfolk, VA; Mike Salter and wife Debbie Salter of Dayton, OH; 14 wonderful grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 husbands, Robert S. Bellis Sr, Edward F. Salter, and Howard R. Reier; 2 sons, Robert S. Bellis Jr and Craig Allen Bellis; 1 brother, Richard Rundle and 1 sister, Shirley Ambrose.
Doris Reier was a licensed Ham Radio operator who enjoyed spending time with her family and making new friends. She had a passion for cats and loved everything Peacock. She enjoyed a small sip of cognac each day and attributed her longevity to this practice. She did not make her target age of 100 but made the 94 years of life she completed a montage of Love and Compassion for her family and friends she made over the years. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Ledford Hodges of the New Testament Baptist Church officiating. Private burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery beside her late husband Edward Salter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
