Leslie Davis Snyder, Jr., 94,  Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Homosassa, passed away on January 2, 2025 under the care of New Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. Leslie was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Leslie D. and Sarah (Bratspis) Snyder and moved from Pennsylvania to Florida in the 1950’s. He was married to the late Helen Snyder of Inverness for 42 years until her passing and late companion Joanie Faulconer of 18 years. He was also a truck driver for Coca-Cola for 20 years, and drove a school bus for 37 years in Citrus County. Leslie enjoyed painting and drawing. He was known for painting his murals in the Citrus County Schools. He was an avid fisherman and volunteered driving the tram for visitors at the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park, Leslie delivered packages and mail  at The Palms Retirement Home for four years until his passing  . He also served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children: Leslie Snyder, III (Savannah) of North Fort Myers, FL; Sarah Avery (William) of Titusville, FL; Carol Beth Worth (Buddy)of Douglas, GA; 3 Stepsons, Ira Williamson;(Jennifer) late Anderson  Williamson (Annie) and late William Williamson of Inverness, FL; 4 Step Daughters : Deborah Green (David) of San Antonio , FL;, Brenda Mortillaro (Robert) of Daytona FL;, Diana Hugg (William ll) of New Port Richey, FL;, Donna Caplis ( Robert ) of Manchester , New Hampshire;, 2 sisters: Diane Williams and Virginia Avant; 

Grandkids, Lee Cain ; Josh Cain; Cory Williamson; Tonya Casada ; Holly Bescher; Angela Snipes; Samantha Snyder; Andi Snyder; Madison Snyder; Landon Snyder; Eddie Domenichello; Jennifer Shurtleff; William Hugg; Austin Green; Katrina O’Neill;

Michelle Greenwald; Brandon Green and 23 great grand kids; 2 Great Great Grandkids.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.  Bishop Douglas Alexander will officiate.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
