Kenneth Dodd

Kenneth Allen “Kenny” Dodd, of Inverness, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was 82. Kenny was born in Cincinnati, OH to Raymond K. and Martha A. (McClain) Dodd. He was one of 13 children. At the age of 18, he enlisted into the US Air Force, and proudly served three years, almost to the day. His main career was working as a supervisor for the water plant on the Seminole Indian Reservation in Hollywood, FL, and that is where he retired from. In 2012, Kenny and Brenda moved away from Hollywood and settled in Inverness. He was an active member of the VFW Auxillary Post 4337 , the American Legion Post 77, as well as the Moose Lodge. Kenny not only loved karaoke, but he was an amazing singer. He and Brenda spent a lot of time at all those places. They also enjoyed riding on his motorcycle together. Kenny was preceded in death by his siblings Harry, Richard, Donald, Shirley, Nancy, and Jackie, and by his grandson Jason Dodd. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 17 years Brenda Dodd of Inverness; his son Kenneth A. Dodd, Jr. (Lily); his daughters Rachel Ann Dodd (Richard) and Erica Lynn Dodd; his step-kids Teddy La Fleur and Lisa Ann La Fleur Hofmann; his remaining siblings James, Eugene, Gary, Robert, Carol, and Joan; his grandchildren Jaime, Dakota, Derry, and Berkley Tiger, Brandon Portillo, Eddie and Ethan Rivera, Draven Waden, Kenny Dodd III, Michelle Dodd Marohn, and Yuzai, Kenya, Shiori, and Satori Dodd; step-grandchildren Kyle, Hannah, and Hope La Fleur, and Lauren and Lyndon Hoffman; and several nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2:00PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Full military honors will be rendered following the services in the chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, 3075 S. Florida Avenue, Inverness, FL 34450.
