Saundra R. Spell, age 84, Inverness, FL passed away September 17, 2024 under the care of her loving family and Vitas Hospice.
Saundra was born in Manchester, Iowa on September 9, 1940 to the late Junior and Ruby (Kellogg) Saunders and moved here with her late husband Raymond Spell in 1997 from Posen IL. She was a retired florist and a pharmacy technician as well. Saundra was of the Baptist Faith and a charter member and one of the founders of the Faith Baptist Church in Posen, IL. Saundra’s loves and hobbies was her devotion to the Lord Jesus, spending time with her children, grandchildren and crossword puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are 5 children: Terry Spell of Inverness, FL; Tammy Spell McDonald of Frankfort, IL; Candy Spell of Inverness, FL; Joseph Pozdol of Ocala, FL: Timothy (Nancy) Spell of Beecher,IL; 10 grandchildren: Sidney Thomas, Robert, Amanda, Ashley, Raymond, Terra, August, Lauren, Brooklynn, and Paisley. Additonally, there are 4 great grandchildren: Carter, Claire, Clyde, and Jason; 2 Special nieces: Diane Smith (family) and Debbie McCorry (family). She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Spell December 5, 2010. They were married 51 years. She also lost a son Thomas Spell in 1977.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Monday, September 23rd from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home where family members and friends will share their memories of Saundra. There will be no formal service. Graveside burial will be at the Chapel Hill South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, IL
