Ruby Christine DeBusk, age 94, Floral City, FL passed away September 4, 2024 at the Citrus Health & Rehab Center under the care of her loving family and Vitas Hospice.
Ruby was born in Rebecca, GA on June 21, 1930 to the late Herman and Ruby (McDaniel) Henderson. She was a long time resident of Citrus County, having owned and operated Dick DeBusk Fill & Sod Company. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Left to cherish her memory are 3 children: Patricia McClain and her husband Milton of Floral City; Brenda DeBusk and Dennis of Floral City; Richard DeBusk and wife Beverly of Brooksville, FL; 12 grandchildren: Chrissy, Tara, Brittany, Kala, Bill (Carolyn), Kelly (Brad); step grandchildren: Griffin (Cali), Chase (Whittney), and Colby. Other grandchildren include Jessica, Jared, and Jayme; 20 great grandchildren: Kason, Carter, Kynleigh, Cayden, Jayde, Clayton, Isabella, Alyssa, Madison, Claudia, Grayson, Madison, Cortlyn, Saylor, Landen, Jenna, Westen, Kimba, Kaylyne, and Kaleb. 1 great great grandchild, Holden.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, David DeBusk on November 11, 2016 and her 2 brothers, Carroll and Herman Henderson, Jr.
There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
