Mary Tucker

Mary E. Tucker, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Hernando on July 20, 2024 under Hospice care. She was born in Florence, Alabama and eventually moved to Missouri, but has been in the Citrus County area since 1972. Mary was a homemaker, a Christian by faith, and was lovingly described by her family as a firecracker. She enjoyed creating plastic canvas crafts, cooking, and word searches. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Murphy and her son, Joseph Tucker, Sr. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Gerald Tucker; her son David Tucker; her daughter Rebecca Cecil (Allen); several siblings; grandchildren Joseph, Felisha, and Courtney Tucker, Daniel and Gerald Williams, and Crystal Grooms; and great grandchildren Emma, Bella, Kurtis, Chris, Tehya, Joey, Dallas, and Dacian. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10:00AM in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
