Ronald A Medlock

Ronald Albert Medlock, of Dunnellon, passed away peacefully at his home under Hospice care, surrounded by his family. He was 87. Born in Boynton, FL one of nine children to John Albert and Mamie Louise (Maddox) Medlock, he was a true Florida native. He married at a young age, had four children and entered the military, serving his country for two years. Ron worked in construction for many years and enjoyed boating and fishing. Later in life, he met and married, Geneva and they had 27 wonderful years together. Ron was the most helpful and generous person to everyone he came in contact with. He was loving, funny, happy and people were drawn to him in life and his absence will be deeply felt by many. He was preceded in death by his sons Tony Medlock and Terry Medlock (just 12 days apart), and two brothers Billy Medlock (Brenda) and Mike Medlock (Betsy). Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Geneva Medlock of Dunnellon; his son Ronnie Medlock (Eva); his step children, Eric Carroll (Brooke), and Lisa Schneider (Eric); his brothers Bobby Medlock (Linda – deceased) and Tommy Medlock (Cissy); his sisters Marie Glover (Bob), Margaret English (Lee – deceased), Diane Dishman (Rodney), and Lisa Johnson (Ron); fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
