Harvey Sylvester Logan, 93, of Floral City, FL passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Stearns, KY on September 11, 1930 to the late Harvey Reed and Tilda (Foster) Logan. Harvey served our country honorably for 23 years in the U.S. Navy as an electrician. After the navy he worked at Champion Spark Plug and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He arrived in this area in 1990, coming from Toledo, OH. Harvey enjoyed fishing and wood crafting. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley J. Logan in 2012, and preceded in death by ten siblings. Harvey is survived by his children Ronald Logan, Deborah (Gary) Gravelle, Susan Robison, and Lorrie Logan, all of Floral City, FL, and Michael Logan of Toledo, OH; sister Irene Bielak of Temperance, MI; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Military services for Harvey are scheduled for Monday, May 20, 11:30 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Honor guard services will be rendered at the cemetery by VFW Post #4337, Inverness. All in attendance are to meet at the cemetery. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is assisting the family.
