M. Cynthia Seyerle, of Inverness, passed away surrounded by family at HCA Citrus Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was 87. Cynthia was born in Los Angeles, CA, and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. In her younger years she was cast in many different shows/movies as an extra and was proud to have been a part of the Screen Extras Guild, a member of the Deseret Theatrical Artists Club, and in having sang in the Southern California Mormon Choir. She was a teacher’s aide with the Wilsona School District where she worked with children with speech impediments and assisted the Theater Director with planning and executing the school plays. During that time Cynthia was a columnist for the Foothill News where she wrote many “Whispering Winds” articles in her pen name, Walks Babbling. She later served as a volunteer in the Cancer Center at the West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana.
Cynthia loved horses and dogs and was quite the equestrian back in her prime. She often shared pictures and stories of when she showed both horses and Collies. Cynthia loved her family dearly, and enjoyed doing anything with them: playing games, watching movies, going camping, out to eat, etc. She was a proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband David Tjulander, her brother Grenade Curran, and her grandson James William Tjulander. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Mike (Mellodie) Tjulander of Inverness, Florida, Rick (Joanne) Tjulander of Prineville, Oregon, John Tjulander of Thousand Oaks, California, and her daughter Carol Lynne Tjulander of Kenner, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A Celebration of Life will be held for Cynthia at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 3474 W. Southern Street, Lecanto, FL. 34461, on April 20th at 2:00 p.m. EST.
