Gregory Lansing Bradshaw, 75 of Hernando, FL, passed away at home on March 7, 2024. Gregg was born to the late Donald and Dorothy Ann (Chappell) Bradshaw on December 4,1948, on the UF campus in Gainesville, where his dad attended Law School. At one year old his family moved to Inverness where he grew up. Gregg excelled at sports, making varsity football and baseball at Citrus High school his freshman year. Gregg was also was able to play football with Elvis Presley in 1961 while Elvis was here filming “Follow That Dream.” Gregg served his country as a US Navy Seal and was a construction superintendent and gifted blueprint layout designer. He was a terrific provider to his family. He led by example, teaching loyalty, pride and love for one another. Gregg had an incredible sense of humor and quick wit. His children and grandchildren will always remember him as an amazing story teller. He would have them all captivated with tales from his childhood and adventurous life. He was our Hero!
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Erinn Bradshaw; his children: Cassandra (Chris) Anderson of Hernando, Stacy (Bryan) Slaughter of Inverness, Bryan Bradshaw, of Beverly Hills, FL and Dustin Bradshaw of Hernando; his brothers: Barton Bradshaw of Chestertown, MD, Donald “Gator” Bradshaw of Ocala, FL, Wesley “Wes” Bradshaw of Inverness; his sisters: Kimberly Weed of Tampa, FL and Leigh Nuzum of Tampa; and his grandchildren: Kylee, Daisy, Caitlyn and Peyton.
Graveside services for Greg will be conducted at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 1:30 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness at 11:00 AM. The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 12:45 PM.
