Linda Schlaudraff

Linda Anne Schlaudraff, age 80, Inverness, FL passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2024 under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice. Linda was born in Potsdam, NY on August 3, 1943 to the late Glenn and Margaret Patricia (Olmstead) Irish. Mike and Linda moved to this area from Tampa in 1986. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2022. They were happily married for 59 years.

She retired from AmeriGas/Suburban as an accounting clerk. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and would volunteer at bingo on Thursday evenings in memory of her late mother. Linda was an avid reader and would have a different book for every room, even her car. She was known for her Linda “flowers” and had them for every season and holiday. Linda was member of the Aaron Weaver Military Order of Purple Heart ladies auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Shellie Cornell and her husband Chris of Inverness and Regina Lemons and her husband Rick of Gallatin, TN; her brother and sister, Jimmy Irish of Brooksville and Susan Hurin of Tampa; 3 grandchildren: Amanda, Rachel, and Emily; and 2 great-grandchildren, Keira and Ethan. She was predeceased by her brother Francis Irish and her sister, Cynthia Schlaudraff. As the oldest of 5 siblings Linda was the rock of the family and was given the title Mother Superior.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Fr. Mike Suszynski will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aaron Weaver Chapter 776, Military Order of The Purple Heart, P.O. Box 1346, Lecanto, FL 34460. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
