Edmund Allen Staninas, 74, of Inverness, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. Edmund was born on in Hackensack, NJ to Edmund Anthony and Ethel Elizabeth (Harrison) Staninas. He moved to this area in 1993, having come from New York. Edmund had many different careers, however his last was as night RN nursing supervisor at Citrus Memorial Hospital (HCA). Edmund was a devoted Catholic. He enjoyed life, and loved riding motorcycles, flying airplanes, hunting, fishing and traveling. He especially enjoyed feeding and watching the wild birds around his home, and enjoyed listening to classical music. Edmund was preceded in death by his loving wife Marie Staninas in 2022. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter Jill Staninas (Mike Pitts) of Homosassa. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 550 Highway 41 South, Inverness, FL 34450. Committal service will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until service time. Arrangements are in the care of Chas. E.
