Ruth K. Clyde, 85, of Inverness, FL passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on January 25, 2024 at New Horizon in Inverness. She was born in Huntington Station, LI, NY to the late Dominick and Katherine (Cozzetto) Bruno. Ruth loved the Lord and was a very devoted wife and mother. She was a fabulous cook who also loved to garden. She loved painting, writing poetry and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth dedicated her early adult life to helping others as part of the Teen Challenge program in Brooklyn, NY and Rehrersburg, PA. She was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for several decades and remained active at Crossgate Church of God in Inverness until the end. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wallace Clyde in 2023.
Survivors include her sons Scott (Hazel) Clyde of Inverness, Kevin (Holly) Clyde of Fredericksburg, VA, and Michael Clyde of Gahanna, OH; sisters Theresa Arnold and Victoria Sawransky; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Ruth will be held at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, on Saturday, February 3, 11:00am.with Pastor Junior Branson of Crossgate Church of God officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Ruth will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
