Carol Bidgood

Carol Lilyan Bidgood, of Hernando, passed away peacefully under Hospice care Tuesday January 2, 2024. She was 79. Carol was born in Springfield, VT, and lived in Cavendish until moving to Hernando in 1984. She opened her beauty salon, Lakeview Salon, right after moving here, and raised her family while being an owner and operator, for nearly 40 years. Carol loved people and making connections, loved traveling, gardening, and most of all loved her family. She was heavily faith-based, and loved to share her faith with other people. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Hattie Webster Bowers, her brother Danny Bowers, and her husband Roger E. Bidgood. Those left to mourn her memory are her sons Kirk MacGinnis and daughter in law Michelle, and Patrick MacGinnis of Hernando; her step-sons Jeffrey and James Bidgood of Hernando; her sisters Diane Hyatt of Florida, Linda Smith, Phyllis Lloyd, and Su-anne Wilhelmy of Vermont, and Sheri Tyrell of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life for Carol held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, 3075 S. Florida AVE Inverness, FL 34450.
