Arlene Marie Lentsch, “Granny”, 92 of Beverly Hills, passed away December 30, 2023 at Crystal River Health and Rehab.

Our dear Granny, the life of any party, is among the angels. She was a truly special woman who brought warmth, light, and laughter to every room she entered.

Granny was not just any grandmother; she was loving, caring, and witty, with her special brand of bull-shoney. Her heart of gold radiated kindness and compassion, welcoming all and touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Granny had a spunky spirit that was contagious, infusing energy into every gathering and turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.

One of Granny’s incredible talents lay in her nimble fingers, as she knitted and crocheted thousands of blankets, hats, and other creations for others. Her dedication to spreading warmth was a testament to her caring nature and selflessness. Granny’s crochet creations were not just pieces of yarn; they were beautiful expressions of love.

Granny was not only very active in her church; she was a true child of God and a strong believer. Her faith was a guiding light that shaped her into the remarkable person she was. Granny’s unwavering trust in the Almighty reflected in her actions, reminding us all to lead lives rooted in love, compassion, and service to others.

Endless energy seemed to be a part of Granny’s DNA. Whether she was on the dance floor, engaged in a lively debate or conversation, or participating in church or community events, Granny’s enthusiasm knew no bounds. Her boundless energy was a reminder that age was just a number when your spirit remained young at heart.

Granny’s pride and joy was her family, especially her three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. She had a special way of dealing with the bedlam at the house upstate when we and all of our friends gathered, and she loved cooking her specialties for us, especially desserts! Holidays always found her at her best surrounded by friends and neighbors, all warmly welcomed.

She loved cruising in style in her Cadillac, which was not just a mode of transportation; it was a symbol of Granny’s zest for life. The seat was as close as it could go, and a pillow made it perfect. She loved her pillows!

Granny was a great friend to all who knew her. With an open heart and an ear always ready to listen, Granny embodied the true essence of friendship – a bond that transcended generations and withstood the test of time.

So, here’s to Granny – the best mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend – the life of any party, and a woman with a heart of gold. May we continue to celebrate and cherish the incredible legacy she leaves behind, forever etched in our hearts. Always our Angel.
