James “Dale” Harrell, age 61, Brooksville, FL passed away December 5, 2023 at the HPH Hospice House in Lecanto, FL.
Dale was born in Brooksville, FL on March 11, 1962 to the late Eli Jackson Harrell and Vella Mae (McMillan) Harrell. He worked hard all his life in the farming community as a laborer. He loved his neighbor hood so much he became known as “the Mayor of Oak Grove”. He always looked after the residents and made sure they were OK.
Left to cherish his memory are 2 brothers, Jere (Pam) Harrell of Brooksville and Eli (Marion) Harrell of Shephard, TX; 2 sisters, Pauline (Phil) Hibbard of Floral City and Flossie (Chuck) Raines of Brooksville; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 9th at 11:00 AM from Stage Pond Cemetery. Mr. Nick Hibbard will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.
