Bessie Eads

Bessie “Bea” Eads, widow of Thomas H. Eads, Jr., passed away at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, FL, on October 21, 2023. She was born December 21, 1936, in Anderson County, KY, to her parents Nora Howard-Cheak and William Raymond Cheak. Bea was a licensed beautician her entire working life in St. Petersburg, Hernando and Inverness, FL, until she retired in 2007. She was the owner and operator of Bea and Tootsie’s Beauty Salon in Inverness, FL. She adored her family and enjoyed many years of living and fishing on the Withlacoochee River in Arrowhead (Hernando), FL. She was also a member of the Citrus County, FL, bowling league, an avid dancer, raised several Chihuahuas, loved writing poems, playing pool, and solving crossword puzzles. Bea is survived by her children, Roxane (Tom) Sweeny, Tom (Ann) Eads, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Kenneth Ray Cheak and sister, Shirley McGeuhy.
