Freddy Eugene Hamilton, Sr., age 85, of Floral City, FL, passed away on October 6, 2023 at the Buffalo Crossings Health & Rehab Center in the Villages, FL.
Fred was born in Enigma, GA on September 28, 1938 to the late John and Mildred (Robinson) Hamilton. He was a long time resident of Tampa and served in United States Coast Guard and a firefighter for the Tampa Fire Department for over 20 years. He was also a restaurant and bar owner for many years in the Tampa Bay Area.
His memory will be cherished by two sons, Freddy E. Hamilton, Jr. of Dunnellon, FL; John S. & wife Valerie Hamilton of Land O’ Lakes, FL; 2 brothers: Wayne Hamilton of Ocala, FL; Jim Hamilton, Sr. of Tampa, FL; and 2 grandchildren: Freddy P. Hamilton, III. and Isabella D. Hamilton.
Graveside Service with Military Honors is scheduled at Florida National Cemetery on Thursday October 26 at 1:00 PM. VFW Post 4337 Honor Guard will officiate. Family & friends may gather at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home and join the procession to the cemetery at 11:30 am.
