Ralph W. Radant, 94, of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away peacefully September 14, 2023 at New Horizons Assisted Living Residence in Inverness, Florida. Ralph was born on February 4, 1929 in Fairbault, Minnesota to the late William E. and Irma (Krause) Radant. Ralph was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Roberta J. Radant.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Roxanne Hindson and her husband Ted of South Windsor, CT, and his son Russell Radant and his wife Sandra of Central Village, CT. In addition to Roxanne and Russell, he leaves behind seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by his sister Rachel Auer of Columbus, Ohio.
After marrying Roberta they lived in New York and Maryland before settling down in Vernon, CT to raise their family. Ralph and Roberta lived in Vernon for 27 years before retiring and moving to Beverly Hills, Florida in 1993. While in CT Ralph was a member of the First Congregational Church of Vernon.
Ralph grew up and graduated high school in Minnesota before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1946. After his enlistment he graduated from Mankato State Teachers College in Minnesota, and after a brief stint in teaching, went on to work in the insurance field where he met his wife Roberta. Ralph and Roberta were both keen sports fans and loved to spend their time together attending sporting events. Ralph at various points in his life was involved in running and tennis, but settled on golf as his favorite pastime. He was a member of the Skungamaug River Golf Club in Coventry, CT for 20 years and while in Beverly Hills he was a member of Pine Ridge Golf Club and active in the local VFW post.
Ralph will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Private cremation arrangements entrusted to Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, FL
