Iwan Butenko, 78 of Ocala, FL, passed away at Advent Health, Ocala, FL on September 8, 2023. Iwan was born in Italy on April 15, 1945 to the late Paul and Maria (Chuenko) Butenko. He was a retired commercial truck driver and moved to Ocala in 2020 from Howell, New Jersey. Iwan served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He attended St. Raphael Orthodox Church in Inverness.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Nina Butenko; his daughter, Tania Allison of Ocala; his granddaughter’s Alexandra Rodier and Cassandra Rodier and his sister Maria Habermas of Fairfield, NJ.
Services for Iwan will be held at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell, NJ Friday, September 14th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Christian Cemetery in Jackson, NJ. Local arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
